Lagan, being a premier manufacturer of Jute mill machineries is well recognized by the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research (DSIR) of Government of India. Lagan’s R&D interacts continuously with industry to manufacture new models and upgrade existing range of machines and got involved in many successful projects including the recent development of the 4¾” versatile Spinning frame.

Lagan liaises with eminent R&D institutions such as IIT Kharagpur, IJT, IJIRA, etc, for design inputs and value engineering. As a natural progression, we have embarked upon a project to develop the next-generation jute mill.
